Computer Setup
Most computers come with programs that you will never use, I can help remove those programs resulting in a faster performing computer. I can also add programs that are vital to your computer’s performance and protection. I can establish initial setup functions such as connect to the internet, set up email accounts, and hookup external devices (printers, webcams).
Diagnostics
This is the first step in the process of diagnosing your computer. For a very nominal fee, I will come and look at your computer to determine the source of the problem. Once I analyze your computer, any further services that will be needed will be additional fees.
System Tune-up
This is for computers that lacked proper maintenance and computers that are bogged down with outdated programs. During systems tune-up, I will update the entire computer system; as well as setup programs to update on their own.
Virus & Spyware Removal
When you have a computer virus, you will know due to pop ups and/or computer crashes. On the other hand, spyware is a little harder to detect. Spyware slows down your computer by hogging computer resources. I will remove viruses and spyware for you, install preventive software, and show you how to prevent them from happening again.
Data Backup
You should always back up your important documents, pictures, music, or videos just as a preventative measure. A few ways to do this are to burn all of your files to a DVD, copy all of your files to a backup hard drive, or transfer your files to the Cloud. Whatever option you choose, I can assist in securing your files.
Data Transfer
If you would like your old files moved from one computer or device to the other, I can transfer them for you. I will have everything moved over like your old computer to make it easier for you to access your files.
Data Recovery
If your computer has crashed and affected your hard drive, I will attempt to recover your files. This is a specialized field and must be done very carefully. It may take a few weeks in order to retrieve all of your files off of your hard drive. In some cases, depending on the severity of the crash, there is no guarantee to recover files.
Operating System (Re) Install
I will do my best to back up everything I can on your computer and reinstall Windows if needed. If you currently have Windows XP and since it is no longer being supported by Microsoft, I can install Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 for you.
Hardware Install/Upgrade
If your computer is running slow, a hardware upgrade may be needed. A hardware upgrade may include improvements such as changing the motherboard, replacing the central processing unit (CPU), upgrading your RAM, or adding a DVD drive. These are just a few options available in the hardware install in order to get your computer running faster.
Software Install
Whether you are looking to install the newest version of Microsoft Office or Photo editing software, I can assist you in finding and installing the programs that are right for you.
Wireless Network Install & Setup
If you are having trouble connecting your new device or have just switched internet providers and can’t connect to the network; I can help connect all your devices securely and properly.
